Innovation
This invention arose from an effort to provide effective adjustment of the diameter of sealing rings in a manner that can be accomplished quickly.

The ring consists of a pivoted handle mounted to one end of the split ring. Attached to the handle and remaining end section is a rigid link. This link includes a pivoting rod and adjustable clevis that allows the adjustment of the ring diameter to accomodate specific tire bead circumferences.

Efficiency
Efficiency in the tire retreading industry is a necessity. By using Wheeler Seal Rings, there are times when three tires can be prepared in the same amount of time it takes an employee to prepare just one tire using other recapping rings.

Ease of Use
The Wheeler Seal Ring has only one area of adjustment. With the pull of a single handle the ring is sealed in place. Tabs on the outer perimeter position the ring at the correct height to allow for maximum surface contact, sealing the envelope to the tire bead securely -- the first time.

Durability
It's not just about time, it's also about durability and upkeep.

There are only two hinge points that are susceptable to wear on the Wheeler Seal Ring. This permits users to take advantage of low maintenance costs. An occasional replacement of two standard 3/8" bolts in the handle assembly is all you need to do. No other maintenance is required.
